Those countries are Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica, Montserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname, and Trinidad and Tobago.
Women who have launched a creative tourism business are particularly encouraged to apply. Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Havana time (GMT – 4 hours) on Sunday, January 26, 2025.

The overall purpose of the programme is to deepen cultural integration in the Caribbean and to strengthen people-to-people cooperation and exchange within the region and with the European Union. It is built on two components. The first focuses on strengthening the skills and capacities of young cultural professionals and the second on enhancing opportunities through knowledge transfer and exchanges.
The sustainable tourism component of the programme aims to strengthen destination management and capacities in the Caribbean, enhancing opportunities for sustainable tourism development in the region through culture and creativity. Specifically, it focuses on supporting sustainable business development and expanding opportunities for young cultural professionals by connecting their products and services to the tourism market.
Participants will gain knowledge and practical skills to carry out their own projects and contribute to the development of a sustainable and innovative tourism ecosystem in the Caribbean by linking the cultural and creative industries to the dynamics of Caribbean tourism destinations.
The UNESCO Transcultura programme will cover all expenses for participation in one of the capacity-building and training workshops, and international mobility and accommodation. For more information on the programme and to complete an application, persons may click here.
