Welcome to the official website of the Ministry of Tourism and International Transport!

We are committed to supporting and promoting inclusive economic growth in Barbados by facilitating the sustainable development of the island’s tourism industry through sound policy, strategic research, marketing, product, and infrastructural development and the regulation and control of all aspects of civil aviation, to promote inclusive economic growth in Barbados.  

In order to achieve this objective, the Ministry in collaboration with the agencies under its purview, and its strategic partners, has developed the necessary strategies and policies to enhance Barbados’ products and stimulate growth for sustainable tourism development in Barbados.  Given the enormous earning potential of the tourism industry, we are dedicated to making sure that the industry contributes as fully as it can to Barbados's economic development. 

In view of this, as the competent authority for tourism and international transport matters, we recognize that the sector is dynamic and is always evolving, and we have had to adapt our lives to be resilient. Acknowledging the need to reposition the island, and to recapture and expand market share, the Ministry had to be innovative and embrace digital technologies in order to communicate globally and to provide public access to information in real-time. 

We are therefore pleased that our new and improved platform will create an easier way of doing business.    In addition, information on the services and products offered by our agencies will be readily available online.
